Ladies Championship Triples
The first round of the Ladies Triples was played on Sunday morning.
Jan Wendell Webber’s rink went down by two shots to Eileen Ide’s team.
Sue Curtis and her team defeated Margaret Watson’s rink also by two shots.
In a great final and with lots of great bowls being played by Eileen Ide, Genise McFarlane and Maree Lewis and the their opponents Sue Curtis, Jude Willett and Lyn Pyke the score changed many times over the 18 ends played, but Sue, Jude and Lyn kept their nerve and came away with a win by 2 shots.
Congratulations Ladies.

Corowa RSL Bowls
Sunday, February 9 saw the scattering of the ashes of David Grant. Even though David hadn’t been with the club for too long, he forged good relations with the bowls club.
David passed away suddenly in September 2019.
We have certainly had a busy time with Pennant bowls and club games over the last couple of weeks.
In the weekend pennant games, the A2’s and B2’s have been lucky enough to make it to the first round of the finals this coming Saturday, February 15.
In the mid-week teams, A2’s and B1’s certainly look like making the finals with only 1 more round to go.
A2’s travelled to Myrtleford for their final round and going on reports around the clubrooms the bus ride home was the best one yet.
RSL won the day 111/80.
