Seniors
Wodonga Raiders 19.17.131 defeated Corowa-Rutherglen 4.2.26.
Goals: Brent Rose 2, John Robinson 1, James Lawton 1.
Best: James Lawton, Brent Rose, Matthew Wilson, Hayden Filliponi, Sam Harvey, Peter Whyte.
Awards: Club 1 – J. Lawton; Club 2 – B. Rose; Club 3 – M. Wilson; Chocolate Factory – H. Filliponi; Brunch and Lunch – S. Harvey; Chocolate Factory – P. White.

Under 18s
Wodonga Raiders 10.22.82 defeated Corowa-Rutherglen 1.5.11.
The Roos worked hard. They applied pressure, tackles and ran all game.
With some beautiful displays of marking, working the ball around the ground and great team efforts they were unable to convert scores on the board.
Jed scored the team’s only goal and both he and Jimmy played under 18s and seniors this week.
Kieran Mair was on fire all over the ground and with help from Jesse, Josh, Alex, Cameron, Will, John, Josh O’D, Andrew, Mac, Daniel and Mason the boys showed the never give up attitude.
One game left for the season against Wangaratta at John Foord Oval.
Please show your support for the talented under 18 team who have worked hard this year.

Roos news
The Roos will hold its vote count and presentation night on September 1 from 6.30pm.
Dress code is semi-formal and tickets cost $20 per person.
Tickets are available from Origin Clothing and will also be available from the club on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Corowa-Rutherglen Netball

A Grade
Corowa-Rutherglen 52 defeated Wodonga Raiders 35.
The girls knew going into the game Raiders would come out firing and that they did.
Credit to the girls though, patience and teamship saw them in front at every change, but most importantly at the end whistle.
A grade has had a great end to the season, winning four from five with one round to go.
Let’s keep the momentum going and bag another one this week.                  
Awards: Sullivans Hair and Beauty and Club 1 – Zoe McLeish – A stellar game Zoe. Zoe stood up against fierce strong defenders. Strong hands in dragging passes and rebounds in was a highlight.
Club 2 – Kiara McLean – A consistent game running hard for four solid quarters. Precision passing and a positive reinforcer on the court set her up for a great ‘Çaptain’s’ game.
Origin Clothing – Georgie Bruce.
Ladies Committee – Sophie Hanrahan - Another great game. A consistent year of shooting and such a wonderfully athletic netballer to watch.
Newmarket Hotel Meal Award – Sophie Hanrahan.
B Grade
Corowa-Rutherglen 26 defeated by Wodonga Raiders 60.
The girls were up against a very fast and strong opposition who forced them to make mistakes.
Well done to the girls for not giving up and for trying their best.
Let’s look forward to the last game for the season and hopefully finish with a win.

C Grade
Corowa-Rutherglen 12 defeated by Wodonga Raiders 49.
The girls took the court full of confidence with positive drives and defensive pressure all over the court resulting in lots of defensive turnovers.       
Awards: Sullivans Hair and Beauty -Bec Kuschert; Club 1 – Chrissy Schulz; Club 2 – Taylor Dickinson; Doc Yarrum – Amy Hansen; Ladies Committee – Bec Kuschert.  

Under 16
Corowa-Rutherglen 28 defeated by Wodonga Raiders 62.
A good team game by the girls despite the loss with lots of positives to be taken out of the game, such as our direct passes and patience.
Well done to the girls for adapting to new combinations and changes.
The team didn’t play to their full potential but had moments of greatness which was great to see.
