A Grade
What a great spectator’s game in the rain.
Corowa had plenty of turnovers and plenty of possession but we were unable to capitalise on this at times.
Big blow to the team with superstar Sophie Hanrahan going down in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
To the girl’s credit, they adjusted quickly, adapted a new game plan and went forward with confidence.
Kiara McLean (Susan Hines award and Origin Clothing award) used her maturity to control the centre court, providing great direction and support from end to end.
Georgie Schulz (Club 1 award and Best on Court) was persistent all day and backed herself and put the shots up and in.
Stephanie Clancy (Club 2) had super strong hands in defence first half applying pressure on some very tall and accurate shooters.
Erica Hanrahan (Ladies Committee award) came off the bench cold after Sophie went down and hassled her opponent from the word go.

B Grade
Up against the top team the girls really lifted this week.
The first half was played with lots of determination, unfortunately the third quarter let them down.
Well done to Bree who put in a good game after injury and to Nic and Kailey who tried hard all day.
Georgia Cargill (Susan Hines award) was electric in centre and applied great defensive pressure and played a strong game in centre.  She drove well and passed well into the goalies.
Sarah Chandler (Club 1) played her best game of the season and it was nice to see the old Sarah back, talking and encouraging everyone.
Sarah Borbidge (Club 2) is a great asset to the team. Her goal was to get as many intercepts as she could - in three quarters she managed 10.
Ro Black (Essential Beauty award) had a strong game in defence and lifted the team when moved into goals.
Kate Hardman (Ladies Committee award) was welcomed into the team this week, she’ll be a great asset to our club.
Roos 13 def by North Albury 49.

C Grade
Last time C Grade met North they lost by 70 odd goals, so to get this close was an excellent effort. Jade and Hannah supported KG well in defence.
Bec and Hannah supported Belinda very well and Amy continued to play strong in WD.
Belinda Patterson (Susan Hines award) had a great game in goals shooting 14 out of 18 goals.
Kylie Greig (Club 1) had a strong game in defence, intercepting lots of balls and provided good direction in the defence end.
Ange Grantham (Club 2) is improving every week. She has become the playmaker of the team.
Montana Eisenhauer (Doc Yarrum award) shut down the North WA and provided great drive down the court.
Emma Sinclair (Ladies Committee award) played one of her best games of the year. She was strong around the ring and passed well into the goalies.
Roos 18 def by North Albury 41.

Under 16s
Darbs and Soph are super proud of all the girls and how they played in such trying conditions.
The determination shown after halftime saw them win the 2nd half of the game.
Although going down by 8, the girls still got behind one another and showed awesome sportsmanship.
Ella Kingston (Susan Hines Award) displayed amazing athleticism and supplied her usual positive attitude during her 4 quarters in centre.
Jess King (Club 1) played a very composed game, shooting 22 goals many which were long bombs. She created plenty of movement in the ring with Zoe – awesome screens.
Layne Burmeister (Club 2) came on at halftime in GK and played a very strong game in the ring going up for every rebound and intercept with two hands also showing great leadership on and off the court.
Emily Laracy (Ladies Committee award) shut down the shooters’ space in the ring and picked off many passes with her amazing 3 feet hands over.
Maddi Clark (Sports power award) with two quarters in WD, Maddi provided much needed talk and awesome pressure on the ring. She then swung into WA and created so much space and beautiful front cuts.
