CDHBU netball

A Grade
The girls didn’t have the start they wanted at all and a few silly mistakes saw them down by two at quarter time.
A quick change and some back to basics and making sure the girls concentrated on their game plan, they came back and played some great netball with Emily Boyle completely shutting down her WA playing a perfect game and really deserving on of the best awards along with Courtney McDonald who was very strong in the circle and made it very hard for the shooters to get the ball cleanly and score.
The girls worked very hard and kept Holbrook under ten goals each quarter and came back from a terrible start, it is great to see what the team is capable of and it was a fantastic win.
CDHBU 53 def Holbrook 30.
Awards – BOC Mug: Courtney McDonald, Meat On The Murray: Courtney McDonald, Origin Clothing: Emily Boyle.

B Grade
The girls were determined to go out and give Holbrook, who were undefeated a very good game and they started straight away.
The girls were taken out by their own friendly fire but didn’t drop their heads at all and kept on top of Holbrook all game.
THe defence worked very hard and Tam Lavis was one of the best with plenty of intercepts, rebounds and tips.
April Burmeister was controlled the centre court and picked up lots of turnovers.
It was a great win for B grade who have been working hard and now it is starting to pay off.
Well done girls.
