Roos girls take on magpies

A Grade
Sophie Hanrahan - ‘Susan Hines’ and Origin Clothing awards – beautifully poised in goals, ever persistent, wonderful holding.
Grace Hanrahan – Club 1 award – Improves every week and takes every bit of advice and puts it straight into play, explosive leads which dominate over any defender.
Kiara McLean - Club 2 –Her talk on court is a pure example of why she is captain, never gives up, never rests, all team all the time, the team is lucky to have you back in the blue and white.
Erica Hanrahan – ‘Ladies Committee’ award – Well done for doing the job lashed, sorry it put you in the spot light for the wrong reasons.
Well done to Georgia Cargill for stepping up and filling the big shoes of a broken Cath Svarc.
Thanks to Ro for being ever reliable and my go to girl and to Sarah and Ella for sitting on the bench.

B Grade
The girls had a slow start but lifted after half time to be much more competitive.
Ro Black - ‘Susan Hines’ award and Ladies Committee award – Again a dominant game in defence against a much taller player.
Kailey Athanitis – Club 1 – Started in goals and was playing with great confidence; when she was moved into defence she worked well with Ro and really lifted the team driving down the court and taking intercepts.
Ally Halton –Club 2 – Stepped up from the 16s and was a dominate force in Centre and WA.
Nicole Beale - ‘Essential Beauty’ award – Continues to move well in goals and shooting with consistency.
Thanks to Maddi and Jess for also stepping up from the 16s.
Carlie and Sarah B were strong in defence and Sarah C played a great quarter in centre.

C Grade
What an awesome game by the young C Grade.
They were only three goals down going into the last quarter.
Belinda combined well with Hannah and Bec in goals.
Hannah Tidd and Jade Lane continue to improve each week.
Emma was also strong today, passing well into goals.
Awesome effort girls – a win is not far away.
Kylie Greig – Susan Hines award – Worked hard in defence and provided great drive down the court when moved into GD.
Hannah Cannell -Club 1 – 88% accuracy in goals – awesome game.
Molly King - Club 2 –Great game in WA passing well into the goals and applying great pressure down the court.
Ange Grantham – ‘Doc Yarrum’ award – Another great captains game providing great direction, front cutting has been great.
Amy Hansen - Ladies Committee’ award – Continues to listen at training and implement what she has learnt.
Roos 38 def by Wangaratta 47.
 
Under 16s
The girls started off slowly but fought back in the last half.
Super proud of the girl’s efforts playing top of the ladder and never gave up.
Emily Laracy – Susan Hines Award and Club 1 – Killed it in defence – very strong and provided much needed turnovers throughout the game.
Club 2 – Ella Kingston was thrown into defence and had a blinder with 10 intercepts and multiple rebounds.
Maddi Clark - ‘Sportspower’ award – provided much needed drive down the court in the last half and passed well into goals.
Lisa Cooper - ‘Ladies Committee’ award – ran all game and created plenty of drive in the centre and lifted the team with awesome intercepts on the ring.
